Así como la ven, tendida descansando, esta criatura de hilado ha viajado de sur a norte. Dos madres, puede decirse, detentan el derecho de filiación sobre ella: Abrujandra, que con sus manos mágicas de machi la entretejió y le dio caracter, y María Elena, quien la recibe en adopción, para llamarla solosuya.

Just as you can see it, lying and resting, this yarn creature has traveled from south northwards. Two mothers, might be said, hold the right of filiation over it: Abrujandra, who used her magic hands of machi to make it and give it character, and María Elena, who takes her in adoption, to name her onlyhers.
