Adornos navideños y algo de reciclaje / Christmas ornaments and some repurposing

Todo empieza con un niño que pide golosinas con juguetes dentro. Y sigue con una madre que no puede deshacerse de su vocación de acumular porquerías, por las dudas.

It all begins with a kid who asks for sweets that bring inside little toys. And it continues with a mother who can't get rid off her vocation of stashing crap, just in case.

La idea es simple: forrar esos contenedores con forma de huevo, con una pieza al crochet.

The idea is pretty simple: cover the egg shaped containers, with a crochet cozy. 

Materiales: 

hilo de algodón fino (de 3 hebras), ganchillo del número de 2mm, lentejuelas, huevos de plástico (o cualquier material oval o esférico que venga al caso, de más o menos 4,50 cm de alto y 3 cm de diámetro)

Materials: 

3 ply cotton yarn, 2mm crochet hook, sequins, plastic eggs (any oval recipient or ball -mine are 4.50 cm tall and 3cm wide)

Puntos empleados: 
pa (punto alto), cad (cadena), pr (punto raso), pb (punto bajo), dism (disminución, 2 pa en distintos puntos de base, pero cerrados juntos)

Stitches used:
dc (US double crochet), ch (chain), sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), dec (decreases: 2 dc on different base stitches, closed together).





La forma básica del forro se obtiene de la siguiente forma:
1a.v.:  10 pb en una anilla mágica, cerrados con pr (cerrar todas las vueltas subsiguientes con pr)
2a.v.: 2 pa en cada pb (iniciar esta vuelta y las siguientes con 3 cad, que funcionarán como el primer pa).
3a.v.: 2pa en 1er pa de base, 1 pa en el pa sigte. Repetir hasta el final.
4a. a 6a. v: 1pa sobre cada pa.
7a.v: alternar hasta el final 1 dism, 1 pa. En este momento colocá el "huevo" dentro del tejido. Si no tenés ninguno, con algo de vellón o bolsas de plástico cortadas en pedacitos pequeños alcanzará.
8a.v: disminuciones (2 pa juntos) hasta el final
9a.v.: 1 pb, saltar un punto de base, 5 veces. 30 cad y 1 pr en el 3er pb. Cortar el hilo y esconderlo.



 The basic shape for the cover is made this way:
1st.r: 10 sc on a magic ring. Close this round and the next ones with a sl st.
2nd. r: 2 dc on each sc (begin this round and the following with 3 ch that will count as the 1st dc).
3rd. r: 2 dc on 1st dc, 1 dc on the next one. Repeat through to the end.
4th. to 6th r: 1 dc on each dc.
7th. r: repeat to the end: 1 dec (2 dc closed together), 1 dc. At this point place the plastic egg inside. In case you don't have any, with some fiberfill or shredded plarn it'll work out well.
8th. r: dec through the round.
9th. r: 1 sc on 1 st stitch, skip next one. Repeat 4 more times. 30 ch and 1 sl st on 3rd sc from last round. Fasten off and weave in end.



 La disposición de las lentejuelas dependerá del propio devenir del tejido, que con cada adorno, se acomodará a su gusto. Las podés coser o, como hice yo, incorporarlas al propio tejido... Si querés que te explique cómo hacerlo, dejame un comentario...

The placement of sequins will depend on the course of the crochet tissue, that, with each ornament, will adapt in its own way. You can sew them into the ornament or, as I did, crochet them as you go... If you want me to show you how, just leave a comment...
