🍎Crochet apple. Appliqué for the YVÁ bag. Colorwork, tapestry crochet

With this appliqué you can finish the YVÁ bag, that I showed you a couple videos ago. But that's not the only project you can use this piece. You can sew it into pretty much anywhere: onto chushions, jackets, potholders, or even use them as coasters.

It's a bit trickier than the bag itself, but I'll carry you through the steps that will allow you to master several techiques: getting shapes, increasing and decreasing stitches, colorwork, tapestry crochet or intarsia and other ways to "draw" with yarn and hook.

LEVEL:

it requires some knowledge of basic stitches, increases and decreases.

STITCHES:

chain, slip stitch, single crochet (=double crochet in UK terms), half double crochet (half treble UK) and double crochet (treble crochet UK).

MATERIALS:

a few yards of sport weight yarn and 3,5mm hook.
